Course Introduction

The course enables students to improve their understanding of design; art; craft or design'related practice by giving them a thinking space that will help to deepen their understanding of the way things happen in the world; respects students beliefs; ideologies; and ambitions; whilst also challenging assumptions; criteria; and approaches; empowers students by helping translate their vision into an effective strategy for action.

Course Modules

Compulsory courses cover: knowledge and communication; society and the individual; technology, culture and change; ethical practices and the environment.

Course Additional Entry

Degree in a design'related subject, and some experience in an area of professional practice; applicants with degree in an unrelated field may need to take a qualifying examination; for candidates whose 1st language is not English, minimum score of 6.5 in IELTS required.
