This course offers practical training in radio and television. Newswriting, television and radio journalism are taught through lectures, workshops and broadcast simulation. This course also covers news, documentaries and lifestyle TV journalism. Please apply for this course if your interest is primarily in television journalism of any kind.
Core modules: ethics, rules and standards; final project; newsgathering for television and radio; newsdays production; studio production for television or radio; UK media law; political headlines. Elective modules: journalism innovation; social and digital journalism.

A 2nd class Honours degree in any appropriate subject; consideration is given to mature entrants who can demonstrate substantial working experience; prior experience on campus radio and television, hospital radio or television stations and/or in print or online media is required; candidates are required to take a live voice test at the interview stage.
