Course Introduction

Students explore, through practice'based research, a range of theatrical techniques and issues that lead to creating theatre for audiences of all ages, but particularly children and young adults. Through investigating the international context and background of theatre for young audiences students will develop the tools needed to reflect upon and further their personal artistic and academic practice.

Course Modules

Modules include: context of theatre for young audiences; writing and storytelling for young audiences; visual and object performance practices; internship and special study; research and final project.

Course Additional Entry

A good Honours degree (usually a 2.1) and/or equivalent professional experience in a related field; interview required.
