Our 4'year programme provides students with a strong grounding in international management, specialist knowledge of business and management in Japan and Korea and competence in Japanese or Korean language. Students take courses in accounting, finance, managerial economics, marketing, corporate governance, research methods and international business strategy.
Year1: Management in Japan and Korea (domestic and international developments); introduction to accounting; understanding company accounts and reports; basic Japanese 1; quantitative and analytical techniques for managers; principles and management of marketing; issues in Post'War Japanese society 1. Year 2: Corporate finance and financial accounting; managerial accounting; international business strategy; managerial economics; basic Japanese 2; qualitative and case study research; international marketing 1 (the environment); issues in Post'War Japanese society 2. Year 3: Year in Japan at one of the partner institutions. Year 4: Intermediate Japanese 3; independent study project in international management (Japan and Korea); financial strategy; finance in Japan and Korea; international human resource management; corporate governance; international marketing 2 (global markets).
