Course Introduction

This programme is designed to educate students in the theoretical, scientific and practical aspects of geographic information science, and covers a range of topics from quantitative spatial analytical techniques to web'mapping, mobile maps and location'based services.

Course Modules

Core modules: applied building information modelling; data analysis; GIS principles and technology; mapping science; principles and practices of surveying; spatial data management; terrestrial data acquisition. Options: either survey project; or image understanding.

Course Additional Entry

Normally a minimum of an upper 2nd Class Honours degree from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard.
