Course Introduction

The course is designed to provide a supportive, thought'provoking and challenging environment for novelists to develop their skills, experiment with approaches to writing, reflect on their own work and that of other writers, learn about the industry and complete a polished novel ready to send to publishers and agents.

Course Modules

Modules include: Workshops designed to extend skills, understanding of form and awareness of creative possibilities; reading work of leading writers; exploration of work through exercises such as writing reviews and journalistic literary essays; lectures by visiting writers.

Course Additional Entry

A 1st degree in any subject; or certificate in creative writing; or professional qualifications; relevant experience may be accepted; portfolio of writing; interview (by telephone for overseas candidates).
