Course Introduction

The programme sets out to explore concepts, approaches and methods from a truly interdisciplinary perspective and offers a rich and stimulating basis for postgraduate study. The degree offers a framework for exploring the changing relationship between states and markets, international institutions of global political'economic governance, transnational companies, work, geo'politics, industrialisation and development.

Course Modules

Compulsory Modules: Approaches to political economy; world economy and development; organisational behaviour; political analysis. optional modules: international security: war and peace in a global context; globalisation and the international political economy of development; international relations of the Middle East; Latin America in the modern world; EU as an international actor; economics of developing countries; global supply chain management; global governance and international organisations; multinationals and global business; new product development and business ecosystems; social and political marketing.

Course Additional Entry

An upper 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent from a reputable university; professional experience and expertise are also taken into consideration and welcomed; for non'native English speakers, IELTS 7.5 (7.0 plus 4 weeks' pre'sessional or 6.5 plus at least 8 weeks' pre'sessional), or equivalent is required.
