Course Introduction

This course is the final work-based learning module of the foundation degree in early years (G01) and DipHE in childhood practice (E37); it focuses on professional development, and involves an investigation of practice in the students' early years work setting; it enhances students' ability to integrate theory and practice, and ask them to draw on and relate their experiential learning to their developing knowledge and understanding of theoretical perspectives; applicants undertake work-based learning (working directly with children aged 0-7, for a minimum of 5 hours a week) confirmed by a suitable person familiar with the student's day-to-day practice.
