Course Introduction

History at UEL is a challenging and innovative programme taking a range of approaches ' social, political, economic and cultural ' to the study of British history from the early 17th to the late 20th century. This exciting period covers Britain's emergence as a world power and its subsequent decline, as well as its involvement in two world wars. The course also looks at the rise of modern London as a global, multi'cultural city. The Extended Degree programme prepares students for Level 1.
