Course Introduction

The programme attracts teachers and people involved in church ministry, as well as anyone with a particular interest in the textual study of biblical literature. It provides a valuable ongoing education for ministers.

Course Modules

Modules include: Critical aspects of biblical interpretation (old testament); critical aspects of biblical interpretation (new testament). Optional Modules: reading 1 corinthians; a critical investigation of the gospel of mark; the bible in the life of the church; second temple Judaism; women in the old testament and intertestamental era; biblical Hebrew; new testament greek.

Course Additional Entry

An Honours degree (normally 2.1 or above) or equivalent, in theology or another appropriate subject. For applicants whose 1st language is not English, the College requires: IELTS score of at least 6.5, with no less than 6.5 in each of listening, speaking, reading and writing; TOEFL internet based test score of 92 with no less than 23 in each of listening, speaking, reading and writing; Pearson Test of English Academic score of 60 overall with no less than 55 in any component.
