Year 1 examples: Elementary logic with applications; foundations of computing I; introduction to artificial intelligence; practical experiences of programming; programming applications; programming practice. Year 2 examples: Foundations of computing II; programming language design paradigms; computer science logic; object'oriented specification and design; systems implementation; computer communications and networking. Year 3 examples: Computer graphics systems; computer architecture; geometric algorithms with applications; artificial intelligence; advanced security topics; optimisation methods; text searching and processing; cryptography and information security. Year 4 examples: Advanced research topics; advanced security topics; cryptography and information security; advanced software engineering; the internet; parallel and distribution algorithms; data structures and their implementation; algorithm design and analysis; language based security; software design and architecture.
