Course Introduction

This foundation course offers you the opportunity to gain a foundation degree and at the same time become a part'qualified accountant. The latter is achieved by giving you the opportunity to gain exemption from four of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Fundamentals level papers. Upon completion, you can continue on for another year to gain the full honors top'up BA (Hons) Accounting degree which will also you give you exemption from a further three ACCA Fundamentals level papers. And by staying on for another year after that (total of two years), you will gain exemption from all nine of the ACCA Fundamentals level papers.

Course Modules

Year 1: Essentials of financial accounting; professional skills; essentials of management accounting; preparing financial statements; management control and decision making; taxation principles. Year 2: Principles of financial management; introduction to financial accounting; business and company law; the accounting project; the business professional; management accounting for business planning.
