King's College London

Course Introduction

This course explores integrated laboratory'to'bedside research programmes that improve the understanding of human cardiovascular disease and its treatment; it uses a multidisciplinary integrative approach using both in vitro and in vivo models and methods, with a strong focus on translational research and the clinical/basic science interface. The overall research strategy is to pursue laboratory'to'bedside research programmes addressing fundamental molecular, cellular, physiological and pathological mechanisms underlying cardiovascular disease both experimentally and in patients and to undertake high'quality research training of non'clinicians and clinician scientists side by side.

Course Additional Entry

Good Honours degree in science (2.1 or above) or an overseas equivalent; a 2.2 Honours degree may be considered only where applicants also offer a Master's degree with merit or above.
