University of Westminster

Course Introduction

The course operates from a purpose'built studio facility in Harrow, with two sound stages, a set construction workshop, and extensive post'production facilities. The state'of'the'art Campus ' home to the University's School of Media, Arts and Design ' is a cutting'edge creative hub, one of the leading media, arts and design educational facilities in Europe. The course receives substantial support from the industry and you will gain experience of working with professional actors, negotiating with facilities houses, equipment hire companies and local authorities, and dealing with the public. Our graduates and staff have won eight BAFTAS in recent years, and received a further 20 BAFTA nominations as well as three Academy Award nominations. A very high proportion of our students go straight on to work in film and television, and recent work from notable alumni includes 'Skyfall' (Neal Purvis, writer), 'Senna' (Asif Kapadia, director) and 'Saving Mr Banks' (Paul Trijbits, producer).
