Course Introduction

The course has been developed to provides a comprehensive and systematic theoretical grounding in key human resource management (HRM) topics and their relationship to sustained organisational performance; the programme has been designed to meet the professional standards and behaviours identified in the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) HR Profession Map; therefore, students gain skills and competencies to apply new knowledge for business and organisational improvements and CIPD accredited membership; students explore themes of developing talent, employment engagement, effective reward management and effective leadership and people management in uncertain times.

Course Modules

HRM and leadership in context (core); resourcing, managing and developing people (core); employment law and regulations (core); organisational development and research (core); dissertation (core); MRR module (opptional if exiting at PG Dip level).

Course Additional Entry

A UK honours degree (2;2 minimum) with 2 years relevant managerial or human resources work experience; equivalent overseas degree recognised by uel with 2 years relevant managerial or human resources work experience; degree'equivalent professional qualification e.g. CCP and 2 years managerial or human resources work experience; international students require an IELTS score of 7.0 (with no component score less than 6.5); interview.
