Course Introduction

There are a large number of employment opportunities for graduates with a degree from the School of Law and Social Sciences. This programme responds to employers' needs to build up fundamental transferable skills. Therefore, it will enable you to gain confidence in a large number of sought'after generic skills, such as communication, independent thinking and analytical skills, working as part of a team, organisational skills and time management. Following subsequent study at degree level, you will be able to seek employment in a vast range of organisations such as NGOs, charities, national and local government, education, social work and corporate management. Careers in consultancy, research and social commentary and policy are also possible.
