Course Introduction

This course aims to develop a deep knowledge of a range of advanced aspects of games technology, experience of the planning, management and execution of a major extended practical application of games technology, a detailed understanding of the games development process, and coverage of technological areas such as graphics, audio, physics models, C++ and AI.

Course Modules

Modules: games development process; computer game architectures; computer graphics; game physics and artificial intelligence; digital signal processing and audio programming; programming in C++; systems specification; research, methods and professional issues.

Course Additional Entry

A 2nd Class UK Honours degree in a numerate subject plus substantial prior computing coverage, or equivalent overseas or professional qualification normally required; good professional English skills; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 100 (internet'based); previous academic and commercial experience is also considered.
