Course Introduction

This LCF course is for students who want to be product designers and developers for the fashion accessories market. You will learn research, development and realisation skills through to the production of a finished 3D prototype, as well as gaining a comprehensive understanding of the industry, its markets, and the role of the fashion accessory product designer. The Cordwainer's and Leathersellers livery companies support the course with prizes, scholarships and industrial visits. You will study units that will give you the relevant professional, communication and business skills, and undertake live projects set by industry. An optional placement year in the third year of the course will give you an additional qualification, and the opportunity to make valuable contacts within the industry before you graduate. You will be based at Golden Lane, on the edge of the City of London, and near the Barbican Arts Centre, Clerkenwell, Hoxton, Smithfield and the Museum of London.
