Course Introduction

This course provides a specialised education in the study and practice of the spoken voice. They are for graduates of appropriate disciplines who want to have a career in voice teaching and who seek specialised study and practice in voice and speech.

Course Modules

Modules include: vocal anatomy; pedagogies (voice); performing research; practical phonetics; practices (voice); sustained independent project.

Course Additional Entry

An understanding of voice; work experience of at least 2 years, or a degree, or equivalent in a subject which has element of voice, and speech studies; graduates of other disciplines are considered with training in voice, and or speech, or equivalent of 20 hours teaching experience in the field of voice, and or performance related subjects; applicants whose native language is not English require IELTS 7.0; applicants who have professional experience in working with voice of at least 2 years' duration are considered for non'standard entry; interview: short 1500 word essay; may also be subject to group workshop, listening exercise, short 1'on'1 interview.
