Year 1: Compulsory foundation courses: concepts and categories; reading history. All years: Students choose options, guided by a tutor, from a list of nearly 200 history papers in the department including: ancient Near'Eastern history; Greek history; Roman history; Hellenistic history; medieval history; ancient languages (Latin, Greek, Akkadian); Celtic history; Persian history. All courses for history (V100) and ancient history (V110) are available to students of both degrees.
