Course Modules

Year 1: Biological principles; biochemistry; chemistry for bioscience; physiology and nutrition; scientific skills. Year 2: Project; analytical techniques; work placement; plus one optional module from: advanced analytical techniques; disease and immunity; food composition properties and analysis; food microbiology; human evolution, physiology and behaviour; human nutrition; metabolic biochemistry; molecular biology; public health; safe food preparation; new food product development.
